Bachelor of Science (Hons) (Architectural Design)
Bachelor of Science (Hons) (Architectural Design)
The Architectural Design programme, which is equivalent to Board of Architects (LAM) Part I, is designed to prepare learners for a professional career that supports the building design and construction industry with the necessary technological knowledge on design, building services, building construction & materials, firefighting and safety, sustainability, and advanced skills in CAD and other relevant 3D softwares in producing ideas and design, drawings and documents.

Entry Requirement
- Passed STPM or equivalent with at least one (1) principal in a subject and credit in Mathematics at SPM or equivalent; OR
- Passed A-Levels with at least a pass in two (2) subjects including Mathematics. Students who did not take Mathematics subject at A-Levels should get credit in Mathematics at SPM / O-Levels; OR
- Passed Matriculation offered by the Ministry of Education or equivalent in a relevant field with a CGPA of at least 2.00; OR
- Passed Foundation or Pre-University in the field of Architecture or related fields with a CGPA of at least 2.00; OR
- Passed the Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with grade B in five (5) subjects including Mathematics; OR
- A Diploma / Executive Diploma / Higher National Diploma (Level 4 MQF) in Architecture or related fields of Higher Education recognised by the Ministry of Education Malaysia with a CGPA of at least 2.00; OR
- An Advanced Diploma (Level 5 MQF) in Architecture or related fields from Higher Education recognised by the Ministry of Education Malaysia with a CGPA of at least 2.00; OR
- Passed Canadian Pre-University (CPU) with an average of at least 55% including Mathematics; OR
- Passed South Australian Matriculation (SAM) / Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT) / New South Wales Higher School Certificate with an average of at least 60% including Mathematics; OR
- Passed International Baccalaureate (IB) with a minimum of 24 including Mathematics; OR
- Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian government;
AND
- Passed the Arts / Engineering Drawing subject at SPM or equivalent; OR

Foundation in Arts (Built Environment)
The Foundation in Arts (Built Environment) programme is tailored to provide students with a direct route into
CityU’s Bachelor of Science (Hons) Architectural Design & Bachelor of Interior Design (Hons). The core modules integrated in the programme shall equip the students with strong theoretical foundation to fully prepare them for their degree journey. The programme also aims to train the students to be able to enable architectural outline design to be buildable and sustainable via detailed design and specification. In addition to that, the programme also aims to strengthen English proficiency among its students with its comprehensive English modules.

- Passed STAM (Jayyid rank) in one (1) subject and credit in Mathematics at SPM or equivalent; OR

Bachelor of Interior Design (Hons)
Bachelor of Interior design program aims to produce graduates professionally in the interior design environment and building industry with theoretical , technical and practicality knowledge in interior design field . The program will prepare the student in designing research component and the fast demands on the new technologies and changes in the current built environment industry. Student will be train professionally in developing the ability in handling various problem/issues with creative practice along with a design consideration relating to sustainability, universal design, safety and by laws.
The course is designed to provide comprehensive learning experience – both theory and practical – as a creative problem solver respond towards multi-disciplinary field , and an industry leader guided by high ethical and moral values

The Master of Architecture (Coursework) is a 2-year full-time programme. It is the second stage of the professional training to became a graduate architect.
This Master or Architecture provides a dynamic studio-based learning environment that produces graduates who are forward thinking, collaborative and at the forefront of the changing architectural profession. You will be exposed to studio teaching from a combination of experienced and innovative young academics together with industry professionals who will inspire you and develop your critical ability, skills and creativity within a simulated office practice environment.

- B.Sc (Hons) (Architectural Design) of City U (LAM Part 1) with a minimum of CGPA 2.50; and with at least 6 months of work experience after receiving
a degree, with B grade in final Design course; OR - Bachelor of Science or Arts in Architecture, or Architectural Studies from any university or equivalent as recognized to LAM Part 1; with a CGPA of at least 2.50; and with at least 6 months of work experience after receiving a degree with B grade in the final Design course; and pass the portfolio assessment; OR
- B.Sc (Hons) (Architectural Design) from City U or a Degree in the Architecture field from any university and recognized equivalent to LAM Part 1; with a minimum CGPA of 2.00; and with at least 1 year of work experience after receiving a degree;
International Students
- Bachelor of Science or Arts in Architecture or
Architectural Studies with a minimum CGPA of
2.50 from any international university and has
been exempted from sitting for the LAM Part 1
